PhoneMic — Portable PA

Your voice, projected.

Speak into your iPhone. Your voice comes out through any Bluetooth speaker you're already paired with — instantly, with gain control and built-in feedback protection.

Signal path

Three stages, no setup.

PhoneMic runs the same chain a sound engineer would build by hand — just automatic.

01 / Capture

Speak

Your iPhone's mic picks up your voice the moment you tap start — no accessories required.

02 / Shape

Gain + limit

Adjustable gain matches your voice to the room, and a built-in peak limiter guards against clipping and feedback.

03 / Project

Speaker output

Audio streams straight to whichever Bluetooth speaker you've paired — pick it once, or switch mid-session.

Under the hood

Built for actually being heard.

Gain

-24dB to +24dB

Real amplification, not just volume — boost a quiet voice or trim a hot signal.

Limiter

Peak protection

Caps sudden spikes automatically, so a shout doesn't turn into a screech.

Meter

Live level display

See your signal in real time instead of guessing whether you're too loud or too quiet.

Mute

Instant cutoff

Silence output immediately without restarting the whole session.

Routing

Follows your speaker

Switch Bluetooth output mid-session and audio follows automatically.

Background

Keeps running, locked

Lock your screen or step away — the session stays live.

Support

Common questions.

Does PhoneMic record or store my voice?

No. Audio is processed live, on-device, from mic to speaker. Nothing is recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.

Why do I hear feedback or howling?

This happens when the phone and speaker are too close together, or the gain is set too high. Increase the physical distance between them first, then bring the gain slider down until the howling stops — the built-in limiter reduces this but can't fully eliminate it at close range.

Why does the app need microphone access?

Microphone access is the core function — it's how your voice gets captured to send to the speaker. Nothing is transmitted off your device.

My audio isn't reaching the speaker. What should I check?

Confirm the speaker is connected under Settings > Bluetooth first, then use the in-app speaker picker to select it explicitly. If you changed speakers mid-session and audio stopped, tap Stop and Start once to reconnect the audio engine.

Does it keep working with my screen locked?

Yes — PhoneMic uses background audio, so locking your screen or switching apps won't interrupt the session.

How do I install it?

Request access above. You'll receive a TestFlight invite by email — install the free TestFlight app from the App Store, open the invite, and install PhoneMic through it.
